This may be the coolest thing SparkNotes has done yet: video animations of classic novels! The best one by far is a summary and analysis of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s, The Great Gatsby. The animation and narration are incredible, and the video really brings the story to life. For many years, SparkNotes has been helping hung over college students get through their freshman English classes. I enjoy reading them when I want to delve into a longer, more challenging classic. Knowing the summary beforehand helps to keep me interested. 1984, A Brave New World, and To Kill a Mockingbird have all received the Video SparkNotes treatment, plus many more. What do you think?
